We offer a wide range of clinical services to our patients. They include immunizations, blood glucose screening, blood pressure screening, pregnancy tests and cholesterol screenings. Family planning supplies are provided to patients enrolled in our family planning clinic. Educational resources for these services are also provided. All of these services are free to the public and are available at the locations and times listed in the following table. (Family Planning services are on a sliding fee scale)

The nursing staff of the Wayne County Health Department provides many other services to the people of Wayne County besides the clinical and home health services they do on a regular basis.
Our nurses assist the school nurses in providing care to our school children. They especially assist in providing Hepatitis B vaccinations to 6th graders, a vaccination program in place now for several years.
Our nursing staff attend local health fairs and provide educational materials to the public and usually will provide blood pressure exams or other screens while at the fairs.
Our health department operates a Medicare Certified Home Health Agency. We provide home health services to all of Wayne County and to parts of Lincoln and Mingo counties. We are approved by Medicare and Medicaid.
Our environmental health program provides a wide array of services designed to protect the health of our residents and those that visit our county. Our three sanitarians work closely with the Office of Environmental Health Services of the WV Bureau for Public Health.
